#000002: Security ISSO - Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Clearance: Active High-Risk Public Trust or DoD Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI. Active Secret clearance to start is highly desired. Summary: Oversee and work with the IT Security Support team supporting Federal clients. Provide technical assistance in the designing and implementation of solutions for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information. Provide technical support for overall IT systems including Security improvements, vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, network security, and more. Participate in the design of information system contingency plans that maintain appropriate levels of protection and meet time requirements for minimizing operations. Conduct security tests and audits. Participate in the management of accreditation of the Federal Client's systems evaluating and certifying the implementation of FISMA, the NIST security guidelines, and the Department plans, policies, and guidelines. Qualifications:
- Experienced Security ISSO- 7+ years of progressive IA (Information Assurance) experience- 2+ years of experience in an ISSO capacity supporting the Federal Government- Experience with ISO, NIST, and US Government standards and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., FISMA, FIPS, HSPD), system administration, IT security management, engineering, and analysis- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal- High attention to detail- Hold at least one of the following active certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CRISC- Bachelor's Degree in a related field ideally Cyber Security, IT Management, or similar
