Geneve Hails

Geneve Hails is one of our graduates. While interning with us, she acted as a pro tem Chief Information Security Officer at Cyvergance.AI, providing excellent security management for over 100 interns and significant accountability for all information security controls. While working at Cyvergance.AI, Geneve currently serves proudly as an Information Systems Technician for the United States Navy providing over 15 years of information technology experience focusing on information security, services, and support. She also led Cybersecurity Workforce Program and trained military and contractors on network system vulnerability and security management for government networks. She combines strong organizational management and leadership skills with high degree in technical knowledge. Geneve has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Network and Cybersecurity from University of Maryland Global Campus and has attained her Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity Technology June 2023 with a 4.0 GPA. She was selected and is currently a member of the Phi Kappa Phi honor society. She is certified in IAT II certifications and anticipates to become IAT and IAM level III.

Christian Medina

Christian Medina, one of our outstanding SOC Team Leaders, is a US Army combat veteran passionate about Cyber Security, small businesses, and outdoor stewardship. His current cyber security certifications include CompTIA’s A+, Net+, and Sec+, and he is simultaneously studying for CEH and Pentest+. His communication and presentation skills have been refined professionally through his experience as a successful commercial real estate agent. He is currently ranked in the top 3% of TryHackMe users and spends much of his free time tinkering with different tools and programs in the Windows and Linux environments. As a detail-oriented, naturally curious, and hard-working Cybersecurity Professional, he will surely achieve his goal of positively impacting the industry.

Ryan Halvorson

Ryan Halvorson/USMC/1833 I am a results-driven Cyber Security Professional at Cyvergance.AI. I am a USMC veteran with 8 years of experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments to accomplish measurable results and provide solutions to volatile situations. I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Networking at DeVry University, focusing on Cybersecurity. I am certified in Security+, CEH, Splunk Core User, and JumpCloud Core Certification. I try to find new courses that intrigue me in my spare time. I am completing TCM Security’s Practical Ethical Hacking course, with more to follow.

Christian Aleman

I graduated with my CIS degree in December of 2023, and have an aspiring passion for learning and evolving in the technological world, especially cybersecurity. I am a cybersecurity professional and trusted advisor with experience building robust security programs. I deeply understand how cyber risk management, security operations, and threat intelligence are applied across numerous industry sectors and organizations. I have robust programming experience with languages such as Python, Java, SQL, HTML5, and CSS, which I understand the most with many projects ranging from ethical malware to awesome and detailed databases.

Justin Parten

A multi-faceted professional, his career spans eleven years across the hospitality, healthcare, and IT sectors. With a background in medical laboratory technology, he transitioned into cybersecurity, leveraging their analytical acumen and attention to detail. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology, focusing on cybersecurity, at Arizona State University, where he has made the Dean’s list three times. He has hands-on experience designing and implementing secure network infrastructures and possesses strong skills in various programming languages, such as Python, Java, Bash, and PowerShell. His cybersecurity expertise extends to conducting vulnerability analyses, developing and executing automation scripts, and managing system configurations for optimal security. Currently, he serves as a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern at Cyvergance.AI, where he utilizes his proficiency in regulatory standards like NIST and ISO to conduct organization-wide gap analyses and present recommendations to key stakeholders. He is also an Army veteran, where he exhibited remarkable technical skills and dedication, earning him the Army Achievement Medal twice. His strong interpersonal and presentation skills and a deep understanding of cybersecurity make him a valuable asset for any organization looking to bolster its cybersecurity posture.
